RJTR provided architecture and interior design services including FF&E services for Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s renovation. Cobb Chamber challenged us to create an innovative workspace and headquarters for their employees and members to promote business partnerships. The space acts as an ambitious home for members and prospective new businesses to converge. Undergoing a new branding campaign, the space is an expression of their identity while also reflecting their core values. Each decision was examined by the team to ensure it was fiscally responsible and stayed true to their desire to be an inspiring place to work and meet. Every design element tells a story- from the large mural in the lobby that acts as art until you step back and realize it reflects an abstract map, to the interconnecting felt scales representing the connection and collaboration of its members. The design program included a reception lobby, conferencing, collaborative spaces and individual work spaces. The clean modern aesthetic of the reception and meeting spaces is reflected with the use of glass, wood and metal to contrast light and dark. The large 30’-0” custom wood boardroom table was designed to represent one of their brand initiatives- a place where everyone has a seat at the table. The flexible meeting and collaborative spaces offer a variety of technology and furniture with pops of graphic elements which create pops of whimsy. The workspaces have been transformed by natural light across the floorplate and gives employees and prospects panoramic views of the county they advocate.
