The Epicurean Atlanta is a 178-key signature boutique hotel operating under Marriott’s Autograph Collection with partner Mainsail Lodging and Development. The hotel is one part of a large mixed-use project located that also includes retail space, an office tower, and condominiums.
The hotel’s concept is based on Epicureanism, a philosophy of thought connected with a devotion to pleasure, comfort, and high living combined with a certain sense of style. Designed as a sanctuary for foodies, a food-forward experience starts at the moment of check-in, which occurs at an extension of the restaurant’s bar and offers tasteful beverages to kick off the guest experience. Guests can find subtle thematic design elements throughout the restaurant, display kitchen, culinary food theater, meeting rooms, and ballroom. Guest suites, complete with kitchenettes and adjoining meeting rooms, provide a full spectrum of guest room options.
The ninth floor hosts the Sky Terrace, which features a café, resort-style swimming pool with cabanas, and an expansive event lawn. With sweeping city views and urban charm, the terrace is a dazzling outdoor destination.

The Epicurean Hotel interior design concept, named “Edible Petal”, provides a rich, smoky, and dramatic theme with frequent nods to a food and beverage-focused lifestyle. The color palette evokes tones of oatmeal, mission fig, wild rice, caramel, and honey in patterns inspired by pastries and water rings left by a glass. Many details, such as wine bottle and bacon-press-shaped custom door hardware, cloche- and decanter-inspired light fixtures, butcher block and cork surfaces, and custom art pieces, are sprinkled throughout.
Accent walls crafted of vintage wine crates announce each hotel level’s name, each celebrating a different wine varietal. A complete and full immersion into a food and beverage experience, combined into a hotel where guests are welcomed to relish the flavors that life offers, creates a wonderful environment in which to savor food, witness its creation, and enjoy the sensory-driven hospitality experience.
“Thank you for a great design presentation last week. You have truly captured the essence of the Epicurean,
yet is a very different way than Epicurean Tampa. We could not be more excited about the way the design is being
pulled through. Thank you!"
