The Epicurean Atlanta is a 178-key signature boutique hotel operating under Marriott’s Autograph Collection with partner Mainsail Lodging and Development. Conveniently located adjacent to 15,858 SF of retail, the 30-story office tower, and 64 condominiums, the hotel provides an amenity to the entire project. The Epicurean Hotel interior design concept, named “Edible Petal”, provides a rich, smoky, and dramatic theme with frequent nods to a food and beverage-focused lifestyle. Guests can find subtle thematic design elements throughout the restaurant, display kitchen, food theater, meeting rooms, and ballroom. Guest suites, complete with kitchenettes and adjoining meeting rooms, provide a full spectrum of guest room options.
The office building interior design features an eclectic mix of rich materials and textures. Natural stones, warm woods, and custom metal light fixtures, which serve as grand artwork, establish the tone of luxury carried throughout this Class A office building. Google has announced that they will be occupying the top 5 floors of the office tower.
A great conference and meeting center offers break-out areas, and the event sites that can take advantage of the outdoors offer a greater level of hospitality and flexibility. The multipurpose, elevated amenity space was an exploitation of the physical connectedness derived from an urban setting, the proximity of the buildings and their shared parking deck.

Maximizing the use of the connecting amenity deck level between the three buildings offers additional venue locations as well as community destinations all of which are an ideal way to enjoy the beautiful Midtown Atlanta skyline. Whether resting in a private cabana, lounging on the open lawn, gathering at the bar or sitting by the linear fire pit, there’s a place for every guest no matter their desired level of social connection.
Early in the conceptual design of the Epicurean, it was clear that an overarching goal was to tie the hotel’s interior to the local community in as many ways, physically and conceptually, as possible all the while paying tribute to its culinary roots. Local artists were sourced to create pieces specifically for the guest rooms and common areas. Many of these art pieces depict famous Atlanta eateries. Additionally, the main corridor on level 9 (connecting the Ballroom to the Food Theater) is designated as a revolving display of the local talents’ art and will likely be different at every visit. It was through those resources that an artist who had the skill, the vision and the warehouse studio space was identified. They were able to arrange, prep and install the multiple pallets of broken-down, wooden, wine shipping crates into Instagram-worthy, way-finding accent walls using a computer-generated rendering as a guide. Authentic and genuine, these accent walls announce the name of the hotel’s floor level, each named after a specific varietal of wine.
“Thank you for a great design presentation last week. You have truly captured the essence of the Epicurean,
yet is a very different way than Epic Tampa. We could not be more excited about the way the design is being
pulled through. Thank you!"
