See what's on the boards at RJTR. This is a the second phase of a multi-block master plan in the South End district of Charlotte, NC. Phase II is a 31-story contemporary, mixed-use tower comprising of 340 luxury apartments, a 494-space parking deck. The project amenities are geared to be best-in-class in the red-hot area of South End. The ground floor includes the main lobby, mail room, bike shop, pet spa, and 14,000 square feet of retail space. The 10th floor, which sits atop the parking deck, houses a fitness center, spa, club room, sky lounge, bourbon tasting area, movie room, gaming room, golf simulator, three guest suites, seven private co-working offices, exterior amenity deck, swimming pool, and dog park.

The design challenge was to create a timeless architectural expression that was unique to the Charlotte skyline with a tailored and sophisticated approach. Natural proportions taken from the Golden Ratio were critical to the design process. The tower is enhanced with fin ribbons that in combination with the dual glass tones, accentuate the vertical forms. At night, the fins are illuminated for a distinctive stance in the Charlotte skyline. This project is currently in the Construction Document phase with construction slated to begin the first quarter of 2023.
