In the heart of downtown Minneapolis, guests of the Loews Minneapolis Hotel are ushered into the “living room” of the hotel - a lively and intimate space where they can relax, check in, watch the game on the large media wall, or enjoy a cocktail or local craft beer and nibble on regionally-infused cuisine at Apothecary Bar & Lounge. One of the primary moves in this lobby, bar and lounge renovation was to demolish a wall separating the existing lounge area from the entry and lobby areas. By breaking through the wall and opening up the lounge to the entryway, the space becomes much more engaging and more connected as a whole, and one that guests can truly make their own.
Custom wood, metal, stone and glass components throughout the space provide a high level of detailing and articulation. Undulating metal and stone reception desks showcase local craftsmanship and welcome guests into the check-in area, along with a custom Minneapolis-inspired art mural.

"This renovation revitalized and reconnected the ground floor spaces by knocking down walls and opening up the existing restaurant and bar to the entryway in order to create a new, inviting lobby lounge and bar that greets guests as they enter the hotel."
