RJTR provided programming, master planning, architecture, and interior design services for the corporate campus expansion of Jackson Healthcare, a nationally recognized leader in services to the healthcare industry. The campus expansion consists of a new 8-story office building, 3-story amenity building, and 1,380-car parking structure. The client challenged RJTR to create a 21st Century workplace within architecture that authentically recalls the Italian Renaissance. Sited immediately south of Jackson Healthcare's current 5-story office building between Northwinds Parkway and Georgia 400, the new 20.9 acre campus is an extension of the existing property. A gated entry pavilion, an Italian-inspired piazza, a bocce court, upgraded existing pedestrian paths, and other landscape features enhance the connectivity of the site. The new 263,000 SF office building provides space for up to 1,400 employees, with the first level featuring a grand three-story lobby, conference center, catering kitchen, and museum. A spiral staircase winds up through each typical office floor, creating a physical link for employees to collaborate between floors and departments.
