RJTR provided full design services for The Cambridge at Brier Creek Senior Living Community in Raleigh, North Carolina. Forgoing typical senior living stereotypes, The Cambridge at Brier Creek is instead taking its design and operational cues from the hospitality world. From the residential units to the amenities package, Ownership’s stated goal is to be “the luxury hotel that you live in.” Opposite the two-story main entry, an expansive amenity area serves as a place for a morning cup of coffee, mid-day grab-n-go lunches, later transforming into the residents’ pub. This 76-seat pub space overlooks a large activity lawn which contains recreational, outdoor dining, and relaxation opportunities. The 90-seat community restaurant, offering table service as well as buffet service, also overlooks this lawn. Additional resident-only amenities include an 90-seat auditorium, movie theatre, art studio, as well as multiple card and activity rooms.

Central to ownership’s mantra of healthy, optimal living, is the Wellness Center and MedSpa. The Wellness Center provides all of the functions of a well-appointed fitness center, including cardio and group exercise rooms, free weights, personal training, and an indoor natatorium, a beauty salon as well as a Doctor’s office and examination rooms. This community offers an Occupational Therapy program in conjunction with the neighboring WakeMed Hospital system. The MedSpa offers massages as well as limited medical procedures such as Botox.
