Shepherd Center, a dedicated research and rehabilitation hospital specializing in spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, spine and chronic pain, and other neuromuscular conditions, is embarking on a visionary project to enhance user comfort and elevate the healing environment. Two remarkable new additions, the Marcus Center for Advanced Rehabilitation (MCAR) and the Arthur M. Blank Family Residences, are set to redefine the Shepherd Center campus.
The Arthur M. Blank Family Residences, a magnificent 17-story family housing tower, extends an embrace of comfort and support to families. This tower is more than just a structure; it's a haven where families can find solace during their stay. Stepping into the forefront of innovative design, the 13-story MCAR building is poised to elevate the patient experience. It offers an expanded realm for Shepherd Center's clinical, administrative, and research programs, with architecture meticulously crafted for both functionality and aesthetics. A fully enclosed pedestrian walkway seamlessly connects the existing facility to the new MCAR building, ensuring uninterrupted accessibility.
At RJTR, we've embraced the privilege of crafting these transformative spaces. Our focus is not solely on architecture; it's on cultivating an environment that nurtures healing, fosters hope, and celebrates the strength of the human spirit. As we provide architectural, interior design, and engineering services for these projects, we're driven by the belief that design can be a catalyst for positive change, enriching lives in ways that extend far beyond construction.
"I would like to commend RJTR for their design work for Shepherd Center.
The two new buildings are well done and will serve our unique needs for
years to come. Thank you for rising to our very special needs because we
always go way beyond the ADA guidelines."
